Can objects that are endlessly produced, sold, purchased, exchanged, and reclaimed shape our individual and collective memory when brought together?
The composition forms a continuing texture through the gathering of objects that have settled into our collective memory. In this texture, a rosary and a phone, or a doll’s arm and a bullet, appear side by side. It reveals how these everyday objects—despite their transience and perceived insignificance—have become etched into our minds.
Lion statues symbolize strength and serenity. They are typically placed in city centers or at the entrances of government buildings. In this work, a lion is positioned at the center of the ongoing texture. Alongside the lion’s head, ephemeral yet impactful objects from today’s popular imagination emerge from resin panels, offering insight into the world we inhabit. These objects, contrasting the permanence of the material, form a continuous pattern that makes visible the relationship between death and power.
This composition, in which various symbols and objects come together, also touches upon the functions of objects in transmitting knowledge and emotion and offering new meanings. When the panels are assembled, memories and contemporary life intertwine, and ordinary ideas become permanently embedded in history. While carrying the physical transformation of the past into the future, the work also alludes to what might have changed in life since the time of the objects’ production. Through the emerging pattern, we gain insights into mass production, the influence of unknown forces on society, popular culture, and the persistent tendency toward consumption.

Sonsuza dek üretilen, satılan, satın alınan, el değiştiren ve yeniden sahiplenilen nesneler yan yana getirildiğinde bireysel ve kolektif hafızamızı şekillendirebilir mi?
Komposizyon kolektif belleğimizde yer edinmiş objelerin bir araya gelmesi ile devam eden bir doku oluşturur. Bu dokuda bir tesbih ile telefon ya da bir oyuncak bebek kolu ile kurşun yan yana gelir. Gündelik hayatta gözümüzün önünde bulunan bu objelerin tüm uçuculuklarına ve ehemmiyetsizliklerine karşın nasıl zihnimize kazınmış oldukları ifşa eder.
Aslan heykelleri kuvvet ve sükuneti temsil etmektedir. Genelde şehir merkezlerine ya da devlet dairelerinin girişlerine konulurlar. Bu eserde de devam eden dokunun merkezinde yer alır. Aslan başı ile günümüz popüler imgelemindeki uçucu ama etkili objeler, reçine panallerde kabarıp ortaya çıkarak içinde bulunduğumuz dünya hakkında bize bir bilgi verir. Malzemenin değişmezliği ile tezat olan objeler devam eden bir doku oluşturarak ölüm ve iktidar arasındaki örüntüleri görünür kılar.
Farklı sembellerin ve objelerin bir araya geldiği bu komposizyonda nesnelerin bilgi ve duygu aktarma ile yeni anlamlar sunma işlevlerine de dokunulur. Paneller bir araya geldiğinde anılar ile güncel hayat birbiri içine girer ve sıradan olan fikirler yerleşik bir şekilde tarihte kalıcı bir şekilde yer alır. Eser, geçmişin fiziksel dönüşümünü gelecege taşırken, nesnelerin üretiminden bu yana hayat içinde nelerin değişebileceğine dair çıkarımlara gönderme yapar. Devam eden desen ile ortaya çıkan yeni anlamda seri üretim, bilinmeyen güçlerin toplum üzerindeki etkisi, populer kültür ve değişmeyen tüketim eğilimi hakkında da bilgiler ediniriz.
