The work is a replication of a ritual where prayer is put in a glass jar full of water to dissolve over a period of time. Later it is buried into the soil nearby of the house to protect a person or the household from bad demons, fears, or anything that has a negative connotation. In the work instead of dissolving the prayer, I put them inside the resin. With this, I was able to freeze them. As Ömer UÄŸurluoÄŸlu stated: “The epoxy sculptures created with the belief of protection hoped to spread to the future, the present and the whole of life, and their efforts to exist in contrasts bring to mind the question "What is left for us, from us?"

Eser, su dolu bir cam kavanoza konulan duanın belli bir süre içinde erimesi için yapılan bir ritüelin tekrarıdır. Daha sonra bir kiÅŸiyi veya haneyi kötü ÅŸeytanlardan, korkulardan veya olumsuz çaÄŸrışım yapan herhangi bir ÅŸeyden korumak için evin yakınındaki bir topraÄŸa gömülür. Çalışmada duayı eritmek yerine reçinenin içine koydum. Bu sayede onları dondurmayı baÅŸardım. Ömer UÄŸurluoÄŸlu’nun da söylediÄŸi gibi: “Ayetler içerisinde epoksi ile oluÅŸturulmuÅŸ heykellerin geleceÄŸe, ÅŸu ana ve hayatın tamamına yayılmaya umut edilmiÅŸ koruma inancıyla, tezatlıklar içerisinde var olma çabalarıyla akla ÅŸu soruyu getirmektedir” bizden,bize geriye ne kalıyor?”
